Celebrating the Year of the Dragon in style
To celebrate, we will be holding a very special event at Kildare Village to get your Chinese New Year off to a sensational start.
In January, dance troupes will wow Kildare Village shoppers with artistic performances - including lion and dragon dancing and traditional music - bringing the festivities to life in a Village resplendent with Chinese New Year decorations.
On Sunday 29th, Kildare Village will also welcome two singers who will perform songs from Puccini's Turandot - the great opera based on the story of a Peking empress from the old dynasties of China, commissioned especially for the Dublin Chinese New Year Festival 2012 ‘Opera in the Open’ event. www.kildarevillage.com
